Hard Eight Dark Rye Spirits
Our rye spirit is an unaged whiskey, also known as “white dog” in the bar circuit. SBB’s Hard Eight has a strong, clear, spicy rye flavor with a hint of anise. The recipe employs a German grain mash technique used by Koval Distilling in Chicago, and Kothe Distilling in Germany, but the taste comes entirely from the organic, stone ground dark rye flour, grown in Saskatchewan that we get from Bob’s Red Mill in Milwaukie, Oregon.
