The Whiskey Sour is one of the classic cocktails informed by citrus juice. A timeless drink- creating a refreshing cocktail for a warm summer afternoon. This perennial favorite dates from the 1870’s, making it one of the earliest- and best- concoctions to emerge from the post-Civil War period of sweet and fruity experimentation.
  • 1.5 parts whiskey
  • 2 parts Stone Barn fruit liqueur
  • 3/4 part simple syrup
  • 1/2 fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 dashes orange bitters

Shake until you arms tire, and then shake some more, as this will provide an exquisite effervescent release of aromas that is well worth the effort.  Pour into a glass with a lemon twist.
