We connected with Johnsons Farm in the Dalles to pick Merlot grapes three falls ago, and noticed a population of tasty looking apricot trees in the lower field. This past season, a bout of horrible winds devastated the orchard such that commercial picking was not feasible. However, we were able to harvest what we could glean, and were able to get enough apricots for our liqueur and a trial of Apricot Brandy, which among the Eau de Vies is one of the most prized.
