Not to paint us as totally opportunistic, but rather as having sensitive fruit antennae, a similar situation to the apricots at Johnson’s Orchard happened with our quince supplier in Wilsonville. The windstorm this past season hit the quince trees such that the Brucks abandoned the remainder of their commerical harverst and we were able to pick to our heart’s delight. We collected enough for our Quince Liqueur and a small batch of Quince Brandy.
